Students in grades 6 - 8 must now complete two years of physical education in their 6th grade and 7th grade year. Credit is given for dance, cheer, athletics, and PE. Off campus PE information can be found by clicking on the link below. This page has the necessary forms needed for off campus credit and other important information regarding off campus PE.

Summer School Information for 2009
Session 1: June 17 thru July 9
Session 2: July 20 thru August 7
8:00 am - 12:30 daily
Location: Vista Ridge High School
***All students who fail two or more classes for the year will be required to attend the first session of summer school. If you have any questions, please contact the counseling office.
TAKS camp and the 8th grade TAKS retests are being held at Vista Ridge High School. Parents can call 434-7300 for any questions and additional information.

Examination for Acceleration
If your child would like to test out of a particular subject, the testing dates are as follows:
Testing period 1: June 9 - 11, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm *Application due date is April 17th
Testing period 2: July 7 - 9 8:30 am - 3:30 pm *Application due date is June 1st

The CATCH middle school program is a resource for bringing schools, families and communities together to work toward creating a healthy school environment. CATCH is a coordinated program designed to promote the importance of physical activity and healthy food choices in school and at home.

You can easily access the RBMS Academic Team websites from the Campus Staff Page.
You can access the teacher voice mail system without going through the main Running Brushy Middle School switchboard. Just call 434-7098 and follow the prompts.
Within two (2) days of returning from an absence, a student should provide a note, signed by the parent, guardian, or doctor that describes the reason for the absence. Students returning from an absence without a written statement from their parent or doctor will be given an unexcused absence.
Checks written to any LISD organization, including student fundraisers and RBMS, must have a driver's license number and valid phone number on the check. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated!
