Attention all 7th and 8th grade students interested in joining Cross Country: There is a mandatory parent/student meeting on Thursday, August 28 at 6pm in the RBMS gym. You need to attend the meeting to get appropriate paperwork, which needs to be completed and turned in before the first practice on Wednesday, Sept. 3. Please pick up a letter with schedule in the office or see Coach McElvain for more information.

Any 7th or 8th grade girl that is interested in trying out for the 2008 Running Brushy Lady Cougar Volleyball Team needs to see one of the women coaches as soon as possible to get all the information needed. There is UIL paperwork that needs to be filled out prior to you trying out for the volleyball team.

New PE Requirement: Beginning with the 2008-09 school year, students in grades six through eight will be required to participate in daily physical activity for at least 30 minutes for at least four semesters during those grade levels.

Middle School Registration
Registration will resume on Monday, August 25th from 8:00am - 9:30am in the library. The registration process requires approximately 30 to 45 minutes per student.

Please bring the following required documents to registration:
(original or photocopy):
1. Proof of Residency (recent utility bill or contract on home or apartment, etc.)
2. Immunization Records
3. Birth Certificate
4. Social Security Card
5. Photo ID of Parent/Guardian
6. Student’s Final 07-08 Report Card
7. High School Transcript (if possible)
8. TAKS Results or Achievement Test Results (if possible)
Please bring your student with you so they may meet with a counselor to select their classes.

  • You can access the teacher voice mail system without going through the main Running Brushy Middle School switchboard. Just call 434-7098 and follow the prompts.

  • Within two (2) days of returning from an absence, a student should provide a note, signed by the parent, guardian, or doctor that describes the reason for the absence. Students returning from an absence without a written statement from their parent or doctor will be given an unexcused absence.

  • Checks written to any LISD organization, including student fundraisers and RBMS, must have a driver's license number and valid phone number on the check. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated!
